Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?"

This phrase can be literally translated as "Who watches the watchmen?". It comes from the book Satires, written by a 1st century Roman satirist,  Juvenal.

Watchman. The guardian of the people when the sun has set. The observer when everyone sleeps. The dark knight. The first among the witnesses.

The concept of watchmen has been implemented in societies around the world for ages. Their judgments are well believed by the public, they are the ones who decide should or should not a man be captured and prosecuted for actions that the society condemns or perhaps, those the watchmen themselves dislike.

Night guards are not the only watchmen. Police, judges, leaders, they are also watchmen. They have power to punish someone, to the extent of taking his life. Who watches these watchmen? Who is just, powerful enough to observe these men?

I believe there is a mighty Entity who holds the absolute morals and laws as well as incomparable power to take down these men when they have abused their authorities as watchmen. There must be One who keep things right and just or else the world would have been fell right after it has just been created.

Agree or disagree?
